digitising tablets. DCDB was supplied in digital format from Department of Environment & Heritage. Control was established between the digital cadastre and the plotted cadastre on the hardcopy plans. In urban areas (including the Adelaide Metropolitan and all country towns), data was digitised from AMG 1:1000 wastewater reticulation plans. DATA MAINTENANCE Data capture commenced on 1 December 1986 and was completed on 1 June 1992. The database is continually updated using a combination of tablet and heads-up digitising techniques. Spatial Completeness Initial data capture was undertaken under a quality controlled environment whereby all Wastewater reticulation assets contained on previously maintained mapsheets were digitised. The dataset is now maintained from source documents. The majority of all rateable assets are captured. Projects are in place to capture non-rateable assets. 1 Logical Consistency The majority of the data is topologically correct although some overlaps and gaps are present which preclude state wide network tracing. The dataset is being continually improved to remove inconsistencies. 1 Positional Accuracy Wastewater valves in the urban areas have a positional accuracy of within 4m. The remainder of the valves have a positional accuracy that ranges from 5 m to 25m. The data has been used within the Corporation since 1992 and is of adequate accuracy for most business operations. 1 Attribute Accuracy Initially captured from hard copy plans and is now maintained from as-constructed plans. Where applicable, the attributes adhere to standard Wastewater descriptions. Attribute accuracy is maintained by use of pre-defined lists of valid values. The data has been used within the Corporation since 1992 and is found to be consistently adequate. 1 Attribute Completeness Initial data capture was undertaken under a quality controlled environment whereby all Wastewater reticulation assets contained on previously maintained mapsheets were recorded. The dataset is now maintained from as-constructed plans. The majority of all primary attributes are captured.
